Hotel at Phuket change the name

The former Centara Grand West Sands Phuket has today been renamed the
Grand West Sands Resort and Villas Phuket and is under the direct
management of the hotel owners, CCD Hotel & Resorts Ltd.
Paul Mercer, President of CCD, in announcing this change, commented that
the Resort will soon become the largest hotel in Phuket with 750 keys. With its
expanded water park and state of the art conference facility -- the largest and
newest in Phuket – the resort is now perfectly poised to focus on being a
premiere destination of both family and MICE markets.
CCD are in discussion with a number of international hotel operators who have
made proposals to manage the resort and a decision is expected in the 1st
quarter of 2017.
Meanwhile Grand West Sands Resort and Villas -- voted ‘Asia’s Best Beach
Resort’ in both 2014 and 2015 -- will continue to be the great hotel destination
it has always been.
The hotel comprises a mix of luxury villas, penthouses and suites focused
around its 500 metre private beach frontage as well superior rooms and family
suites arranged around Splash Jungle, Phuket’s wettest, wildest and only
water park.
Grand West Sands Resort and Villas Phuket, a luxury resort set on 121 Rai
(47 Acres) of land with direct access to the Andaman Sea, features 558
Rooms, Penthouses and Pool Villas, the resort rests upon Mai Kao Beach,
Phuket's quietest and most tranquil beach. Facilities include Spa, Fitness
Center, 6 F&B outlets, integrated Splash Jungle Water Park, and MICE
Conference Center with seating for 1000+ guests – set amidst waterfalls,
lakes and a relaxing tropical setting.
